Dialogue Writing Example

 1) Write a telephonic conversation between doctor and patient in brief.

Patient:  Hello, is there Dr. Kulkarni ?

Doctor: Yes, I am Dr. Kulkarni, here.

P: sir, I am vinita, I am out of station on my duty. I need your help.

D: Well, Vinita, tell me what happened?

P: sir, I have no appetite for my food, and yet I am suffering from indigestion.

D: Are you troubled with headaches?

P: Yes, I am. And what is worse I cannot sleep at night.

D: Do you have fever?

P: No, I do not feel.

D: I think, your work in the bank?

P: I am a clerk in The HDFC Bank, and so I  have to work long hours.

D: What sort of exercise do you take in the evening?

P: I am afraid I don't take any. I feel so tired when I get home that I simply want to sit down, or go to bed.

D: I see. Well, you need a rest and change. All your troubles are signs of nervous exhaustion. I will message you, a nerve tonic but the main thing is rest. If you do as I say, you will soon be all right.

P: Thank you, doctor. I will follow your advice, Good night!

D: Good night! Vinita.

2) Write a dialogue between a student and police Officer(student has lost his motorcycle the dialogue is in the police station. )           

 

Student       :     May, I come in Sir.

Police         :     Yes, you are mostly welcome.   Please sit down.

Student       :      My name is Rajan Shinde, I  learn in Amolakchand Mahavidyalaya.

Police          :      Ok, what can I do for you? What is your problem? 

  

Student       :      Someone has stolen my   motorcycle.

Police          :      Where did you park it?

Student       :      In front of Nagar Vachanalaya.

Police          :      Was it locked?

Student       :      Yes Sir. It was properly locked.

Police          :      What is the number of you  motorcycle?   

  

Student       :      The number of my motorcycle is MH 29- P 5685.

Police          :      What is the colour of your  motorcycle?

Student       :      It is blue and black.

Police          :      At what time was your motorcycle stolen.

Student       :      Sir, I come to library regularly at 6 pm. Today I locked my motorcycle and went into library after an hour near about 7 pm when I returned I was surprised because my motorcycle  was not there where I had locked?

Police          :      The number shows that it is new motorcycle.

Student       :     Yes, my father had bought it only a month ago.

Police          :    Log on FIR. (First Information Report)

Students     :      All right Sir.

Police          :      Have this form and fill up it.

Student       :      When will we get back my  motorcycle.

Police          :      I can’t say anything about it.

Students     :      Will you inform me as early as possible.

Police          :     Give your phone number I will inform you.

Student       :     This is my phone number Sir.

Police          :     You can go now?

Student       :     Thank you Sir.

3) You are a stranger in a city. You want to go to the post office. Write a dialogue between you and a passerby.

 

I                 :     Excuse me Sir.

Passer by  :     Yes, my boy, what is it?

I                 :     May I know where the post office is?

Passer by   :    It is on Dhamangaon Road.  Dhamangaon Road begins from the Bus station. You will first have to cross this Cement Road and then within a short time you will reach   main post office.

 

I                  :     How much time will it take to reach there?

Passer by   :     You will not take more than five minutes.

I                  :    Are there any short cuts?

Passer by    :    There are no short cuts.

I                  :    What type of building is it?

Passer by    :   Oh! It is a huge modern building.  

I                  :    Thank you, very much Sir.

Passer by    :    It was my pleasure.
